Senior Drilling Engineer

Description:
Our Client an Independent Operator requires a Senior Drilling Engineer to start as soon as possible to support planning and operations in the North Sea.
Candidate requirements:
Minimum 10-15 years Drilling & Completions experience with recognised Operator and including supervision of wellsite operations. Able to work un-supervised on a range of well planning activities.
Degree Qualified.
IWCF combined Well Control.
Offshore Medical
Key responsibilities:
- To undertake all planning activities in respect to casing seat selection and casing design.
- To have a detailed working knowledge of surface wellhead and tie back systems.
- Prepare for approval well cost estimates.
- Maintain and develop all documentation required in the well construction process.
- Produce HSE submissions, draft drilling program and detailed drilling program in a timely manor.
- Have a working knowledge of TCM, HAZOP and HAZID meeting requirements.
- To deliver the agreed well objectives in a safe, environmentally and effective manner.
- To deliver well on time, within budget and in all cases meeting, if not bettering Company and HS&E targets.
- Daily operational cost monitoring and reporting if required.
- Overseeing all aspects of the well operations and engineering, monitoring costs and reporting as required.
- Up rev any MSR as required by procurement and finance.
- Review and approve technical tender evaluations made by well engineering team.
- Emergency Response procedures in place for the drilling campaign.
- Making continuous effort to improve well construction performance by well-researched applications and new tools and techniques.
